News at the Course:
Many people have been asking how things are going at the golf course.  My response has been this.  Well, it is not closed yet, but you need to send in your pledge soon.  I have heard many people are waiting to do just that on Sunday, March 2, which is fine, too.  My personal plan is to pay for my membership and my pledge as soon as I get some tax money back.  I hope I not only get that money back from the government soon to help Lincoln Valley, but also because I need some $$ to pay for a couple of prom dresses!
   See you on March 2.

   Upcoming Dates and Events:
February 22:  Soup Supper around 5:30 Sponsored by the L.V. Men's Association
March 2:  Members Meeting and Update at 1:30 in the Banquet Hall

"Prison Quartet"
While I was preaching in a church in Mississippi, the pastor announced that their prison quartet would be singing the following evening.  I wasn't even aware there was a prison in the vicinity, and I looked forward to hearing them.

The next evening, I was puzzled when four members of the church approached the stage.  Then the pastor introduced them.

"This is our prison quartet," he said, "behind a few bars and looking for the key."
